Ever wanted to pilot a commercial jet? Well you can! I was invited to a 45 minutes flying experience! After watching a 15 minute debrief video, I met my co-pilot and we boarded the cockpit of a Boeing 737.

This is a 100% authentic experience. You swing into the pilot's chair, put on your headsets, suddenly in front of you is an array of lights, instruments, levers, digital displays and more lights! This simulator is used for pilots to refresh or maintain their flying hours. The whole experience comes with 180° wraparound visuals, seat vibrations and high fidelity sound really puts you in the Captain's chair!

Once aboard, you choose two airports to take off and land. I chose JFK, in New York and Hong Kong’s Kai Tak, both airports that I visited as a passenger!

After climbing to 2000ft we leveled off and set a course before returning back to each airports... I decided I wanted a challenge so we added a thunderstorm and only made a touch down in Hong Kong before taking off again.

45 minutes of pure exhilarating fun! You have to do this once in your life!
